Ketamine Assisted Therapy in Greater Richmond, VA
Embrace transformative healing rather than settle for temporary relief.
Is This For You?
You've always had a deep desire to understand both yourself and the world around you on a more profound level. Perhaps you've explored this through self-work, talk therapy, or other healing practices.
While you've made progress, it might feel like you've been addressing different aspects of your healing, but haven't quite connected all the dots yet.
You're longing for clarity and connection, and I'm here to help you discover it.
How KAP Can Help
KAP allows you to explore what's underneath your symptoms so you can express and move through the root cause, rather than just managing what shows up on the surface.
It offers a direct path to your inner healing wisdom–that part of you that already knows what you need to heal.
Your ability to experience emotions expands. What therapists call your "Window of Tolerance" grows, so you can embrace your feelings more easily instead of being overwhelmed by them.
KAP provides opportunities to reconnect with your spirituality, which can support your overall well-being and sense of meaning.
My Approach
KAP isn't about fixing what's broken - it's about accessing the wisdom that's already within you. Sometimes we just need a different doorway to access it.
Together, we'll create space for your authentic self to emerge and explore how to integrate this deeper knowing into your everyday life while healing what needs attention.

What Clients Experience
"KAP helped me to release the grasp on who I think I am and be more in the flow."
What clients have experienced after doing KAP with me:
You stop reacting to every little thing and start responding from a calmer place
Stress doesn't hijack your whole day the way it used to
You can handle conflict without your heart racing or shutting down completely
You feel more like yourself in your relationships
Those old stories about "I'm not good enough" or "I always mess things up" start to lose their grip on you
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Ketamine is a medication that's been safely used as an anesthetic for decades. In recent years, researchers discovered that when used in much smaller doses and combined with therapy, it can be highly effective for treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health conditions—especially when other treatments haven't worked.
Ketamine works by temporarily shifting your brain's usual patterns of thinking and emotional response. When paired with skilled, supportive psychotherapy, this creates a powerful opening for insight, healing, and transformation.
In KAP, ketamine is used as a catalyst — not a cure. The real work happens in the integration: exploring your experience, processing what comes up, and anchoring meaningful change in your everyday life.

I partner with Journey Clinical, a medical practice that specializes in ketamine prescribing. Here's how it works:
If you’re a good fit for KAP, I refer you to Journey Clinical after our initial consultation
You'll meet with one of their medical prescribers (virtually) to determine if KAP is right for you
If approved, you'll receive your ketamine prescription and we'll begin our KAP sessions together
If you're not approved, there's no charge for the prescriber consultation

I completed a year-long intensive training with the Integrative Psychiatric Institute to become a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider.
I also completed additional training in KAP with Journey Clinical. I engage in trainings and consultations with other psychedelic therapy providers regularly.

Before:
We'll meet for an initial session so I can get to know you and your hopes for KAP, and to determine if we're a good fit
If we decide to move forward, I'll refer you to Journey Clinical to meet with a prescriber
Once you have the medicine in hand, we'll meet for 1-3 preparation sessions where I'll help you set an intention for your journey
During:
I'll be with you the entire time during the medicine session to offer support and presence
You'll have a safe space to be immersed in your internal experience
The medicine session lasts about 2-3 hours
After:
We'll have an integration session about 24-48 hours after the medicine session
The integration part is important for incorporating new material that emerged during your medicine session

I offer in-office sessions in Midlothian, VA (greater Richmond area). I also offer virtual sessions (see next question for how that works).
-
For in-office sessions, you'll need reliable transportation to and from the office (you cannot drive after taking ketamine).
For virtual sessions, you'll need:
A trusted person to be in your home during the session (they don't need to be in the same room)
The ability to take your blood pressure at home before taking the medicine
-
Preparation and integration sessions are 60-minute sessions and cost $150 each. The medicine session is 2-3 hours, so the cost will be $300-$450.
I do accept Medicare (not HMO plans) and Sentara insurances. Insurance will cover the preparation and integration sessions and one hour of the medicine session.
Insurance will not cover the additional hours for the medicine session.
Journey Clinical takes some insurances in Virginia, so you may be able to have the prescriber visit and ketamine prescription covered by your insurance.
If you have questions about your insurance coverage, please reach out. I’d be happy to help clarify, because I know this part can be confusing.
