You may feel like parts of you are pulling in different directions.

One part wants change, another is afraid. Maybe there's a part that's deeply tired, another that's always trying to keep it together, and others carrying pain, grief, and shame. It can feel confusing, overwhelming–even like you've lost touch with who you truly are.

I use an approach called Internal Family Systems (IFS) that honors all the different sides of who you are.

Instead of trying to "fix" or change you, we'll get curious about what's really going on. Maybe you feel like you're constantly at war with yourself, or like you're not even sure who you are anymore. That makes complete sense.

Whether you're working through a loss, feeling stuck in the same patterns, or just tired of feeling like a stranger to yourself, you don't have to figure it out alone.

I create space for you to slow down and actually feel what you're feeling. We'll work at whatever pace feels right - no pressure to "get better faster" or be anywhere other than exactly where you are.

You don't have to have it all figured out.

In fact, "I don't know" might be the most honest place to start.

  • IFS is based on the idea that we all have different "parts" of our personality - like the part that worries, the part that gets angry, the part that tries to please everyone, or the part that feels hurt. Instead of trying to get rid of these parts, IFS helps you understand what each part is trying to do for you and how to work with them in a healthier way.

The goal is to help your core Self - the calm, wise, compassionate part of you - take the lead in your internal system. Think of it like becoming a kind, understanding parent to all the different parts of yourself.

  • Absolutely! While IFS is my primary approach because I've seen how effective it can be, I understand it's not for everyone. We can explore other therapeutic approaches that feel right for you, or we can simply use IFS concepts and language as they feel helpful without making it the focus of our work.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and that our work together serves you.
